To apply to WEST, please go online through the Indiana University Graduate School at http://www.gradapp.indiana.edu/index.html and send the following documents to our office:
- Application form (online submission)
- 3 Letters of Recommendation (online submission)
- Official Transcripts mailed to

- Academic Writing Sample (please do not exceed 10 pages) email to west@indiana.edu
- Statement of West European language skills and experience (submitted with online application)

- TOEFL scores (for international students) IU institution code is 1324

The Graduate School publishes January 15 as the application deadline, but WEST functions on a rolling admission deadline. However, to be considered for funding, applications must be received by January 15 for fall, September 1 for spring, and January 1 for summer. Deadline for International Admissions is December 1. Applications are reviewed by a faculty committee.
