The Archive
The Digital Wells archive contains videos, photographs, drawings, stories, and text relating to Herman B Wells’s life, career, and accomplishments. For ease of use, it is divided into six broad categories that characterize some main themes that animated his career: The Man Himself, Educational Opportunity, Internationalism, Human Brotherhood, Intellectual Freedom, and Ethical Use of Power. Much of the archive content can be listed under more than one category, and the archive is growing with the addition of new materials from various sources, including stories and photographs from website visitors, like yourself. We welcome new content and new ideas.
There is also a photo Gallery of historic photographs of people, places and events relating to Dr. Wells, Bloomington, and Indiana University.
