Cookout on the Lakefront

The last VSA event of the year will be a cookout on Friday, April 27th from 4 to 6 pm. The event will be held at Griffy Lake, and all members are encouraged to come. During the cookout, prizes will be awarded to the top 3 members based on their member points. Elections for next years executive board* will also be held at this event. Any one interested should reply to this email to learn more. Join us afterwards for the Organizational Awards at the DeVault Alumni Center for free food and farewells.

It's that time of year again. We are getting ready to elect the next years executive board. The elections will take place at the cookout on April 27th. Anyone interested in joining the VSA executive board can reply to this email to learn more and express their interest in joining. VSA Fundraiser Dinner

Social Night and Potluck

Date: Saturday, April 14

Place: Cassie's Apartment - 3482 John Hinkle Pl.

There will be a VSA Social Night and Potluck on Saturday, April 14th @ 6:30 pm. The event will be held at Cassie's house at the Woodbridge Apartment Complex. The event is free to members, and non-members can attend for $3 or by supplying a food dish. Any member who brings a potluck dish will receive 2 member points. Please contact John Nguyen for rides and the type of dish youll be bringing (jlnguyen@indiana.edu). There will be poker, food, and friends, so come join us for a great night!

The VIA1 Conference

Dates: March 16 to March 18 (during Spring Break)
Place: West Lafayette, Purdue University

Travel with us as we network with other VSA's in the Midwest region and discuss issues relating to Vietnamese-Americans. There is a required online registration process and a fee of $50. The $50 includes 3 meals, a banquet, a t-shirt, and prizes. Please let Cassie know if you are planning to attend so that she can find you housing and make travel arrangements (catran@indiana.edu). Tet Nguyen Dan - Vietnamese Lunar New Year

Learn how to increase your luck and success for the year of the Boar while enjoying several performances and FREE Vietnamese food! VSA Bowling Night

If you would like a ride please contact Brandon (information above) and we hope to see you there! Rides will most likely be transported from the Main Library to the venue.

If you are a VSA member we will cover shoes and your first three games. If we play even longer it only cost $1 per additional game. If you are not a VSA member you can become a member for only $12 and receive a membership card to discount to over 16 restuarants and markets at IU. If you attended our BBQ membership is only $9. We hope to hear from you soon.

Cultural Celebrations: A Vietnamese Wedding
