UITS Community service programs
- Daffodil Days (IUB) -
American Cancer Society- MONDAY February 28th is order deadline, delivered March 15th. The daffodil represents hope that cancer can be cured. Get a
bunch or two for home, office or anonymously gift to cancer patients in local medical facilities, to help fund research, education, and patient
service programs in Monroe County. Contact Toni Usrey to order. Money is due upon order--make checks payable to American Cancer Society. The delivery
(all orders except Gift of Hope donations) will come to WCC and be split out from here.
Bunch costs $10.00 (no vase)
Bunch plus a vase costs $15.00
Gift of Hope $25.00 (Gift of Hope orders are delivered anonymously to cancer patients at local medical centers-not delivered to specific patients nor are donor names attached to the gift.)

- DAY OF ACTION (IUB) - United Way- April 6th. The United Way 16th Annual Spring Day of Action is Wednesday, April 6th. This is an
opportunity to volunteer your talents, time and energy. Volunteer projects from 9am to noon and 1pm to 5pm. with picnic style lunch provided at
11:30 am. Volunteers are needed for a wide variety of projects, including planting gardens, fixing trails, painting, doing yard work, and cleaning
trash and graffiti. Volunteers may also sign up to read to young children at two nonprofit agencies as part of United Way's early childhood
initiative. Registration deadline is March 14th. Send email to Toni Usrey if interested.
- RACE FOR THE CURE (IUPUI)- Susan G. Komen Foundation - April 16th IUPUI Campus and Military Park. Last year many of you participated in the Susan G. Komen Central Indiana Race for the Cure(r) and raised over $2,000! We're excited to let you know that the UITS team has been created and are hoping that you'll participate. The Race is an incredible experience and benefits a great cause. Becoming a team member is easy! All you need to do is visit the komen site at http://race.komenindy.org/and register for the 2011 Central Indiana Race for the Cure(c) through the "Join a Team" option.
