Systems Analyst Programmer - PAE3IT
Description and Responsibilities:
The Enterprise Business Systems team seeks a motivated individual to play a critical role as an Analyst/Programmer working on nationally recognized community source development projects . the Kuali Endowment System(KEM) and Kuali Financial System(KFS) (see http://www.kuali.org for details). Participates in the development of KEM and KFS to analyze functional processes, determine system specifications, design solutions, write programs, and implement critical system applications while maintaining production standards. Collaborates with team leaders, IU Foundation and FMS customers, colleagues at KEM and KFS partner institutions, and other UITS development and infrastructure teams to determine the processing needs. Uses standard system design techniques to devise the resulting information system. Codes, tests, and documents programs that execute in a variety of technical architectures. Owns areas of project plans ensuring implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance support for existing systems. Provides technical support to staff; serves as a resource for problem analysis and resolution; and attends meetings as required.
Work independently as a member of the Kuali development team. Develop and maintain excellent relationships with all of these groups, through careful consideration and thorough communication on analysis and programming assignments. Show initiative, creativity, and innovation in the development of stable, maintainable, and efficient business computing solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor.s degree in Computer Science, Business Systems, or related discipline plus three to four years of professional J2EE development experience.
Expert knowledge of JSP, XML, Spring, common design patterns and a relational DBMS, experience using common apache frameworks for Java development,
and excellent oral and written communications skills are required. Background must demonstrate the ability to operate effectively as a member of a
team within a complex, dynamic environment. Experience with enterprise-scale application development, Struts, OJB, Eclipse, CVS, Ant, Tomcat, JUnit,
log4j, Quartz, Linux, Apache, Oracle, and MySQL is preferred. Understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA), test-driven development (TDD),
and the Kuali development framework is desired.
