Disaster Recovery Intern

The intern will assist in the development and use of the University's Business Continuity Plan Tool (BCPT) and supporting enterprise-wide program. Typical tasks would include: web-based research on BCP processes; transfer of data from BCPT1 to BCPT2; creation of PowerPoint presentations; assist with BCP program support components - i.e., data tracking, reporting, organizational methodology; understanding or skill in web page design; creation of IUB organizational chart.
Description of duties:
This intern would work alongside the Principal Business Continuity Assurance Analyst and be exposed to current trends in Business Continuity and
Disaster Recovery planning for enterprise-wide initiatives. This intern would be exposed to a wide variety of Information Technology including web
design and maintenance, software integration, and online forms processing. This internship would be appropriate for students with backgrounds or
interest in the information assurance field; criminal justice specifically Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning.
Relevant Academic Programs and Schools:
Juniors and seniors in the School of Informatics, Computer Science, or other IT related programs, who have a particular interest in information
technology business continuity or disaster recovery planning will be targeted.
