Welcome to the 2009 CIC IT Accessibility and Usability Conference
Members of the CIC Accessibility and Usability Working Group and other interested members of the CIC Institutions will meet to discuss and plan for issues of accessibility and usability related to information technology. This year's meeting will take place at Indiana University in the historic Indiana Memorial Union located in beautiful Bloomington, Indiana.
Discussion topics and areas for planning and action include:
- Education,
- Promotion and Training,
- Alternative Content and Multimedia Policies and Techniques,
- Course Management Systems,
- Purchasing Policies,
- Assistive Technology Implementation, and
- Library Systems.
Those with interests in accessibility and usability trends and practices in these areas are encouraged to participate in this direction setting conference. Representation from all CIC Institutions enables a broad dialogue related to these topic areas from the perspective of each institution. Your participation in this conference will help set direction, enhance best practices across all CIC institutions and provide a valuable overview of the perspectives of each school related to issues of accessibility and usability.
