PCAT

The Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT) is a standardized exam designed to assess competencies in areas important for success in pharmacy school and a career as a pharmacist. There are six content areas covered on the PCAT: Verbal Ability, Biology, Chemistry, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, and Writing.  Over 75% of pharmacy programs in the United States now require the PCAT exam for admission.  Students may check the requirements for individual programs to determine whether they will need to take the PCAT for admission.

The PCAT website offers a variety of resources on the exam and how to prepare for it, including access to a PCAT Practice Exam.  In addition, you should prepare intensively for the exam through reviewing material in PCAT prep books and taking repeated practice PCAT tests, available in book and CD form.
