Dennis Patrick Groth

Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education
Associate Professor of Informatics and Computing

Biography

Dennis is currently Associate Professor of Informatics, and the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies for the School of Informatics on the Bloomington campus. His responsibilities include curricular programs, student services, advising, academic operations, and career services. In addition to his Informatics responsibilities, Dennis was recently appointed as Associate Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education for Indiana University Bloomington. In this capacity, he is responsible for a variety of critical campus programs, including curricular procedures, outreach, service learning, continuing and adult education, course evaluation processes, and test administration. My research focuses on the development of new database access and data mining techniques in support of data visualization activities. I am particularly interested in exploring ways in which visualizations can be manipulated in the same fashion as the data that generates the visualizations. The University Club will hold it's Annual Meeting in the Presidents' Room during a luncheon. Our President, Karen Whiteside will deliver the Annual State of the Club and Board Elections will be held.

Cost: $22 for members and/or spouses and $24 for guests. If you make a reservation and do not attend and no cancellation was received by Friday, March 9th, the University Club will bill you the for the meal. YOU MUST Pre-pay for this event. NO CHECKS or CASH will be accepted at-the-door. Deadline for making a reservation is March 9th and paymentent no latter than March 16th.
