IU Learning from Disaster Seminar Series: Interactive Videoconference with New Delhi, India
On Tuesday, March 29, from 9am-10:30am, we will connect with citizens and representatives of
the World Bank in India to discuss International Development and Global Prosperity, in
recognition of the 3-month anniversary of the tsunami. The discussion will focus particularly
on the recent UN Millennium Report (see
http://www.unmillenniumproject.org/) and ask the questions: "What are rich countries
obligations in promoting global development? Are they currently meeting these obligations?" It
is being held at 201 N. Indiana Ave, at the Center for the Study of Global Change. (Please
arrive by 8:50am -- breakfast will be provided.) Please spread the word and RSVP by emailing
Kathleen Claussen at
