Lisa Sarasien and Becky Brockman -- Textile crafts team
Becky is from Kendallville and Lisa is from Waterloo. Both together are skillful in various textile crafts, exhibiting in fairs and craft shows throughout the area, working together as a team.
Lisa learned to knit from her father, while Becky learned to sew from her mother when she was five. Both together, they are actively sewing, quilting, crocheting, tatting, and knitting.
Lisa and Becky both believe in the power of textile crafts as a form of therapy, and as a way for families to be together and to connect. Both have taught all of their children different forms of textile crafts, and each of them has a disabled child. They each stayed home to take care of their children and kept each other busy with crafts. They went to the doctors' offices with their crafts. They would both meet in the hall of the hospital and do their crafts. "God brought them together" through their crafts.
