Come visit the Center for Folk Traditions in Nashville, IN and explore the multimedia exhibit and learn what this small, young group of dedicated do-it-yourself artists were able to do outside the commercial recording industry before the era of massive Internet communication. Also featured in the exhibit are rag-rug weaver Dee Neirman, hoop-net maker Dan Cain, willow basket weaver Viki Graber. Our next exhibit will feature the Sisters of the Cloth quilting guild from Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Opening Reception with live music by Indiana Spine Group. Saturday, October 3rd, 2009, 5-8pmFirst Saturday of each month, 2009, the Center for Folk Traditions is proud to host the Brown County Dulcimer Society Jam, 3-5 pm. All ages, abilities, and instruments welcome. You don't have to play the dulcimer, but can play other instruments along with dulcimers. Ukulele ConcertSaturday, Oct. 18th, 2008, at 1:30pmUkulele builder and player Geoff Davis played along with his daughter's ukulele duo Pholly at the Center for Folk Traditions in Nashville, IN. Geoff learned the ukulele from his parents as a child, and has taught his daughter to play. Both performed their own brand of ukulele music, from classic jazz tunes to contemporary pop songs.
