Students Profile: Alex Kopytko

Alex Kopytko is a senior from suburban Chicago. He is currently pursuing degrees in Telecommunications and Economics, a minor in Spanish, and a certificate from the Liberal Arts & Management Program (LAMP). Alex has been an intern at WTIU Television since his freshman year in 2006 and has worked in a variety of roles, including copywriter, schedule director, and Corporate Development intern. During the spring 2009 semester, Alex had the opportunity to study international business in Copenhagen, Denmark. His curriculum included meeting with business and political leaders to discuss the financial crisis in Copenhagen, London, Brussels, and Moscow. In 2009, Alex received the Department of Telecommunications' Donald Agostino Scholar’s Award for demonstrating excellence in leadership, academics, and community service, and exhibiting curiosity for learning across a wide range of subjects. Alex is an active member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. He is considering a career path in either management consulting or media financing.
