Military Students


Cadets and midshipmen may be eligible for critical language scholarships through IU Project GO.

DOD Personnel

The Workshop is the oldest and largest program of its kind in the nation and DOD personnel have participated in the program for over 50 years. Active duty, guard, reserve, and federal civilians are fully integrated into the Workshop's standard academic program and are eligible to receive undergraduate or graduate credits from Indiana University for language training.

All participants:

  • Pay in-state tuition
  • Earn up to two semesters of (transferable) academic credit
  • Have access to faculty lectures on language, culture, and regional issues

DLPT and/or OPI (additional fee) testing can be arranged upon completion.
