Persian Language Course Details

Persian Curriculum

The proficiency-based Persian curriculum features 20 contact hours weekly and twice-weekly language tables where students engage in conversation, meet native speakers, and learn more about target cultures. Students also participate in the Workshop's rich co-curricular program.

Qualified students of Persian are eligible to apply for Project GO and FLAS funding.

About Persian

Do I need previous background in Persian in order to participate in the Workshop?

Students may begin studying at the 1st year level with no previous experience with the Persian language.

How can I continue my study of Persian beyond the Workshop?

Students may be eligible to apply for study abroad opportunities with federal funding, such as the Critical Language Scholarship and Boren Awards. Persian is offered during the academic year at Indiana University through the Central Eurasian Studies department.
