"If we are to address the pressing environmental, economic and social imperatives we face today, in an expeditious manner, it will take the entire Indiana University community's creative collaboration. The spontaneous emergence of green teams in units all over campus is an inspiring example of that kind of action that is already making a big difference on the Bloomington campus.”
-Bill Brown, IU Director of Sustainability
A green team is an informal group of faculty, staff, and students in a particular campus unit who work collectively to promote environmentally-friendly practices within that unit. Getting involved with a green team is a great way for members of the Indiana University community to reduce the environmental impacts of their office while also helping Indiana University become a more sustainable institution!

Why isn’t my office listed?: Starting a new team
If the unit in which you work is without green team representation, there is no need to worry. You have the opportunity to help develop a new team! This does not have to be done alone—the green teams program exists to increase collaboration within and between university units. A colleague who you already know shares your interest in sustainability could join you in leading a kick-off meeting. To gain ideas on how to get around initial hurdles, you could contact an already-existing team and ask for their advice. Also, assistance can always be found at the IUOS!
Follow the 4 steps offered by the New Green Team Guide and begin transforming your office into a more sustainable site!
