Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI)
ArcGIS is an integrated collection of GIS software products developed by ESRI. The ArcGIS framework enables users to deploy GIS functionality and business logic in desktops, servers (including the Web) and mobile devices. This architecture, coupled with the geodatabase, gives users the tools to assemble intelligent geographic information systems.

ArcExplorer is the only Macintosh-compatible ESRI software. ArcGIS Desktop will only run on Windows with an Intel processor, but ArcInfo Workstation will run on HP-UX PA-RISC 11i, Tru64 5.1B, AIX 5.2, AIX 5.3, Solaris 10 (SPARC), and Solaris 9 (SPARC). |
