Course Description
The course Environmental Policy and Management in Vietnam, taught by program director Professor Marc Lame will address the issues of space as Vietnam continues to face explosive economic growth. Additionally the course will address the structure of Vietnam’s government and the population control policy, an important factor in measuring future growth. These discussions of space, and the control of space, will enhance discussions regarding comparative environmental policy, climate change and the risk of vector-borne diseases, and natural resource management.
The Scholars and Global Citizenship program is co-taught by Dr. Lien Nguyen of the Hanoi University of Science’s Department of Environmental Science. Approximately 15 undergraduate students from the Hanoi University of Science will also be taking the course.
