Admissions
SPEA offers innovative and relevant degree programs that address today’s issues. Whether your interest is climate change policy, leading a nonprofit, or the role of administration in the health field, your future begins at SPEA.
If you’re a current IU student, you’ll have to complete admission requirements and apply to be admitted into a SPEA program. The application is available online. Applications are due twice a year--December 1 for spring admission and May 1 for fall admission. Please call 812-855-0635 or email speaugrd@indiana.edu with any questions regarding the application.
Applications are now closed as of December 1, 2011 for Spring 2012 Admission. You may apply for Fall 2012 admission through May 1, 2012.
If you are interested in our majors, we want to help advise you. If you're already an IU student, the first step is to attend a specially designed program that includes an individual assessment of your academic record in a small group setting. We'll share important information about being admitted as well as individualized academic advisement information. After attending, students are able to make individual advising appointments with SPEA advisors if needed. However, most students get all they need in these Pre-Admission Advising sessions. These sessions are appropriate for both student exploring SPEA areas and students who are seeking a SPEA degree. Registration is required--use our easy online registration. Questions? Call 812-855-0635.
If you’re a high school student, come visit the school! Top-achieving high-school students may be invited to be admitted directly to SPEA.
