Master of Science in Environmental Science

The Masters of Science in Environmental Science (MSES) is a two-year professional, research-oriented degree program. The SPEA MSES students receive excellent preparation in just two years, opening doors for continued academic study and research as well as a toolkit to effect significant environmental reform in a wide range of specializations and employment sectors.

The primary objectives of the environmental science masters programs are to provide:

  • Rigorous training in a chosen environmental science specialization
  • Exposure to the broader interdisciplinary context necessary for developing solutions to complex environmental problems.

Environmental Science Masters students in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs concentrate in one or more of the following areas:
