The Indiana Center for Intercultural Communication (ICIC) will present a workshop on oral presentation skills for non-native English speakers from 9 a.m. to noon Friday, March 23, in the Riley Outpatient Center Conference Room in the Ruth Lilly Learning Center.

This interactive session will provide guidance to non-native English speakers through individual practice and small group discussions to ensure clear oral communication in English. Participants will learn about the key features of oral presentations related to language use and pick up tips on organizational structure, the use of visual aids, and enhancing oral enunciation and pronunciation.

Ulla Connor, PhD, director of the ICIC and Chancellor’s Professor of English at IUPUI, and Lauren Harvey, assistant director of training at the ICIC, will present.

This workshop has been developed in collaboration with the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs at the IU School of Medicine. ICIC is a part of the School of Liberal Arts at IUPUI.
