Nobel Peace Prize laureate to speak on Africa
Leyma Gbowee, Nobel Peace Prize laureate, peace activist and author, will present “Women, Peace, and Reconciliation in West Africa,” from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb., 16 in the IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law, Wynne Courtroom.
Ms. Gbowee, based in Ghana, is the executive director of the NGO Women Peace and Security in Africa, and heads the newly established reconciliation process in her native Liberia.
