Unicorn 2002 Upgrade Implementation Schedule
WorkFlows and IUCAT will be down the weekend of January 4-5, 2003
in order to implement Unicorn 2002. Below is the timeline for the
upgrade itself.
| January 1-3, 2003 | Technical staff reschedule all reports which would normally run during the downtime and make other necessary preparations. |
January 3, 2003
6:00 p.m. (Blmgtn time) | Unicorn will come down. All WorkFlows sessions should be closed before this time. |
January 3, 2003
evening | Upgrade of es33 to Unicorn version 2002.0.14.0 (the same version that has been tested on es07). |
January 4, 2003
all day | Keyword reindexing takes place (estimated to take 26-30 hours). |
January 5, 2003
mid-day | Unicorn 2002 becomes available for technical staff to test and to make upgrade-related changes (new toolbars, properties, table changes, etc.) |
January 5, 2003
evening | Technical staff report results of testing and any problems encountered. Monday morning reports are scheduled if no problems have been encountered. |
January 6, 2003
8:00 a.m. (Blmgtn time) | Unicorn becomes available for all staff and patrons. WorkFlows clients will be upgraded to version 2002 upon logon (see other documentation about upgrade process). |
