Kurt Peters joined the Department of History for the 1995 second
summer session to teach "Contemporary Native American History," one
of his areas of specialization.
Before beginning work on his Ph.D., Dr. Peters spent eighteen years as a financial planner in San Francisco, designing and leading seminars for clients. In 1994, he earned his degree in Ethnic Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. Having spent the past year as a fellow at the American Indian Studies Center at UCLA's Institute for American Cultures, Dr. Peters now looks forward to taking a position as assistant professor at the Ethnic Studies Center of California State University in Sacramento. |
