Getting Started
Before You Start
Parents who are interested in Sunflower should submit an application form and plan to visit the coop in person. If accepted for membership, parents must provide evidence of TB tests and submit a copy of their child’s immunization record. Below you'll find a list of forms which must be completed by your physician and provided to Sunflower within thirty (30) days of starting daycare. If insurance does not cover the TB test, payment can be deducted from the first set of fees.
Additionally, each shift worker, including family any family member who will take part in the transition process and cover shift responsibilities, must complete the form below:
Transition
Before leaving a child at the coop alone, parents must stay with him or her for at least 18 transition hours. All parents who intend to do shift work must share in at least one third of these hours. This period serves not only to help your child adjust to the Sunflower environment, but also for you to adjust to us and vice versa. Therefore, we will make the weekly schedule available to all transitioning families and ask that every effort be made to spend at least one hour with a member from each member family. No fees will be paid during this period of transition.
Dues and Deposit
At the first Friday meeting parents will pay a deposit of $200.00 (which includes one month and a $25.00 key deposit) in addition to the regular monthly fees ($175).
