View from the foothills of Vouno Dendrou, looking to the NW.  The Greek mainland (Southern Argolid of the Peloponnese) is visible in the background.  The slightly uplifted airfall tuff deposits on this side of Aegina Island are preserved.  The tuff deposition represents an alluvial-coastal plain characterized by fluctuations of water level. The prehistoric site of Kolonna is located to the right on the coast.
