Textbooks

No textbook is "required" for this course. However, I strongly suggest that you purchase a copy of a Java book or access on-line documentation. Our recommendations are listed below. Other books are also available through the Indiana University Library online textbook system through books24x7.com - you will find more information about this resource at http://library.books24x7.com. Remember that the exams are open book so you will find it useful to actually purchase a copy of a book that you can bring with you for reference.

You will be responsible for appropriate mapping the readings to this book in that case.)

You can also use any other book on Java (JDK 1.1 or JDK 1.2) that you find is understandable to you.
