Meteorological range was calculated using the Koschmieder equation and assuming b_scat is approximately 66% of total b_ext (as indicated by analysis of the REVEAL data).
Only data for which a QA code of 0 was assigned were used in these calculations except for Winter and Spring at CHIL where due to the lack of RH data for these seasons the meteorological range is calculated using all data for which a data code of 0 or 6 was assigned and b_scat < 0.4*10^-3 m^-1 is also given.
