Audio Editing: Recording to Minidisc
- Hardware: Amplifier & TOA Mixer / MiniDisc Recorder
- Software: Aardvark Router program
1. Turn on equipment
- Amplifier & TOA Mixer [1]

- MinDisc recorder [2]

- Computer [3]
- Open Aark 20/20 program [3]
2. Insert MiniDisc
- Slide MiniDisc cartridge into slot [2]
- Make sure the arrow on the MiniDisc points into the device
- Note that the display indicates either a "Blank Disc" or the number of the last recording [2]
- Select "Analog" from the upper right toggle switch
3. Select source to record on router
- On the right hand portion of the Aardvark control panel under Outputs, find "Analog 5&6" and select the input device from which the signal will come [3] (for instance, if you wish to record from the microphones, then select "Analog 1 IN" to go to Output5 and "Analog 2 IN" to go to Output6)
- On the "Sync Source" window below the output selection, select "SPDIF" to appear in that window [3]

4. Test recording levels
- Depress record button on device or remote [2]
- Note that the next number appears in display
- Adjust levels on mic mixer if not correct
- Press Stop on the device or the remote
5. Prepare to record
- Cue source media to beginning of desired selection
- Or cue narrator to be ready
6. Begin recording
- Press the Record button on the device or the remote [2]
- Press Play button
7. Stop recording
- Press Stop on the device or the remote
8. Repeat above two steps as often as necessary
