Dr. Joseph Chen’s study, which was funded by the National Science Foundation, aims to evaluate the perceived social changes in an arctic region of Norway.
The intellectual merit of the project rests on the development of a new measurement scale on social impacts of tourism within arctic region where there exists a limited economic opportunity for maintaining a good quality of living.
