Taney Historical Significance
The
United States Coast Guard Cutter Taney was commissioned by the U.S. Coast
Guard on October 24, 1936. She was retired from service in 1986 after
fifty years of service. The Taney now resides at the Baltimore
Maritime Museum in Baltimore Maryland where she plays the role as a
floating museum.
