The U-boat Bow is Last to Submerge


The last sight of the German U-boat is the bow as it disappears below the North Atlantic waters. In the distance is one of the sister ships the Duane. It aided in screening off attacks from other U-boats during the Spencer's attack.(Time Magazine, 1944).
