American Bladdernut Scientific Name: Staphylea trifolia Description: A slender shrub 6-12' or rarely a tree 25' high, with ascending, curved, light warm gray stems conspicuously green-striped, the newer twigs light olive green. Habitat: In moist thickets. Range: From western Quebec west to Ontario and Minnesota, and south to South Carolina, Missouri and Kansas.
