Red Raspberry Scientific Name: Rubus idaeus Description: An arching shrub with round, bristly stems, somewhat white-powdered when young. Leaves may consist of 3-7 elliptic leaflets, but on older fruiting canes 3 are usual. Height to 6'. Habitat: Thickets. Range: Newfoundland, Labrador, and British Columbia to s. New England, west Virginia, west North Carolina, Ohio, Indiana, Nebraska and Wyoming.
