Scientific Name: Malus spp.
Description: This familiar fruit tree, naturalized locally, has a short trunk, spreading, rounded crown, showy pink-tinged blossoms, and delicious red fruit. Height: 30-40'. Diameter: 1-2'
Habitat: Moist soils near houses, fences, roadsides, and clearings.
Range: Native of Europe and W. Asia. Naturalized locally across S. Canada, in E. continental United States, and in Pacific states.
