Japanese Honeysuckle Scientific Name: Lonicera japonica Description: Woody, shreddy-barked, twining or trailing vine often to 18'. Leaves opposite, half-evergreen, short-petioled. Habitat: Low moist ground along streams, fence rows, and border of woods. Range: Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana; eastward to Florida and north to Massachusetts; also in Oregon and Washington. Introduced into America from Asia and freely escaping cultivation especially in the Southern States.
