Trametes versicolorCommon Name: Turkey Tail Description: Bracket 4-10 cm across, 3-5 cm wide, leathery, scaly, forming large overlapping tiered groups; color variable, concentrically zoned black-green, gray-blue, gray -brown, or ochraceous rust, with a white to cream margin; upper surface velvety becoming smooth with age. Habitat: in groups, rows, or overlapping clusters on decaying logs and stumps of hardwoods or in wounds of living trees. Very common. Found widely distributed throughout North America.
