Description: Fruit body 5-10 cm high, 2-7 cm wide; many slender, straight, almost parallel dichotomous branches; lower section grayish orange, pale yellow above, including tips, all parts bruising purplish brown.
Habitat: mostly on coniferous wood, particularly hemlock. Found throughout North America.
