Description: Cap 5-25 mm across, tongue- to kidney-shaped; pale buff to tan; dry minutely hairy to rough-scaly. Stem rudimentary, 10-20 by 3-10 mm.
Habitat: densely gregarious on logs and stumps of hardwoods. Common. Found throughout North America.
