Common Name: Scarlet Waxy Cap
Description: Cap 2-5cm, convex then expanded, bluntly umbonate; bright, intense scarlet, blood red, or orange-red; smooth, moist. Stem 30-70 by 3-8 mm high and wide.
Habitat: gregarious on soil or humus in conifer or deciduous woods. Common. Found widely distributed over most of North America.
Edible: Yes.
