Galerina autumnalis

Common Name: Deadly Galerina
Description: Cap 2.5-6.5 cm across, convex becoming flatter or with a slight umbo; dark brown to ochre-tawny, fading to yellowish or buff with disc sometimes remaining darker; smooth, sticky with translucent striate margin. Stem 30-90 by 3-100 mm high and wide.
Habitat: scattered or clustered on hardwood and conifer logs and stumps. Common and sometimes abundant. Widely distributed throughout North America.
Edible: Deadly poisonous.
