Cantharellus cibariusCommon Name: Chanterelle Description: Cap 3-15 cm across, convex then becoming flattened to slightly depressed at center, margin inrolled and wavy; bright egg yellow to pale yellow-orange; surface smooth to minutely tomentose. Stem 20-60 by 5-25 mm high and wide. Habitat: in both deciduous and coniferous woods. Common and often abundant. Found throughout North America. Edible: delicious, but be sure of your identification.
