Amanita rubescens

Common Name: The Blusher
Description: cap 5-15 cm across, convex then flattened; rosy brown to flesh color, sometimes darker reddish brown; very variable, whitish, yellowish, and olive variants are known; usually covered with white or reddish cottony patches. Stem 60-140 x 10-25 mm high and wide.
Habitat: in mixed woodlands. Common. Found in eastern North America and California.
Edible: when cooked.
