Richard Miller, Director of the Poynter Center for the Study of Ethics and American Institutions, announced the selection of two Undergraduate Research Prize recipients for 2011-12. Ryan Myers, a freshman English major, and Melinda Elston, a sophomore in Journalism, collaborated on a research project, "The Ethics of Empathy in the Public Sphere." Their mentor was Frederic Lieber, from the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology in the School of Education. Myers and Elston presented their findings Friday, April 27, 2012.
