A Tribute to the Veterans of Vietnam |
The United States sent soldiers to Vietnam starting in September 1950. Twenty-five years later in April of 1975 the war ended with approximately 57, 690 American men and women dying, 303,000 being wounded, and between 500,000 and 700,000 suffering from Post Tramatic Stress Disorder after returning from the war. [1]
Several political movies have been made in the past twenty-five years since the ending of the war dealing with various issues related to war. These have included Apocolypse Now, Platoon, and Good Morning Vietnam. These movies serve as reminders of how horrifying war can be along with the corruption and politics that occured during the Vietnam War.
