Create a PhoSo t-shirt!

This contest to create a design for a new phoso t-shirt will be held online throughout the summer. Please submit a high quality image to the PhoSo Flickr Group at: http://www.flickr.com/groups/phoso/

This contest ends August 23rd. Voting will begin on August 24 or 25 and will last until Sunday August 29th (just before school begins). The winning t-shirt will hopefully be printed within the first couple of weeks of the fall semester.

Contest Rules:

  1. Designs can be anything you want, as long as it somehow relates to PhoSo. Please keep in mind that designs will likely need to be PG 13 and that we may or may not be able to use the IU Logo.
  2. You can submit as many designs as you want, but please don't spam the flickr group with submissions.
  3. All submissions must be received by August 23rd at 11:59 PM. Late submissions will not be considered at all.

Cameras for a Cure

March 27th - 7:00pm - Hutton Honors College (Great Room)
The goal of the event is to raise money for cancer research at the Bloomington Hospital Regional Cancer Institute. To fundraise we will hold a silent auction of photographs from PhoSo members . Cameras for a Cure will also be highlighting 10 cancer survivors treated at the BHRCI through shadow boxes and speeches. These special guests are made up of a wide variety of Bloomington community members. Highlights of the event will include a live harpist and food provided by the Middle Way House. We do not charge admission.

World AIDS Day Silent Auction

December 1st, 2008 - 6:00pm - Fountain Square Banquet Hall
The Photography Society put together a silent auction of a selection from organization members. The auction was held in conjunction with the Bloomington Hospital Positive Link HIV/AIDS Clinic at their World AIDS Day Gala. The auction raised over $300. With a generous grant from the IUSA Funding Board, all proceeds were donated directly to the clinic.

Inaugural Gallery

March 28th, 2008 - 8:00pm - IMU Gallery
The Photography Society's first gallery. Featuring work from over 13 contributing artists, the gallery was on display for three weeks. Our opening celebration boasted a plethora of refreshments, live music, and formal attire.
