Philanthropy
Phi Mu’s national philanthropy is Children’s Miracle Network. The Delta Alpha chapter of Phi Mu strives each year to raise thousands of dollars for its Children’s Miracle Network hospital, Riley’s Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. Through its own philanthropy "DePHI the MUsic" and through the Indiana University Dance Marathon, Phi Mu has been able to raise approximately $30,000 in the past year alone.
In recent years, Phi Mu has won multiple awards at IUDM, including the Spirit Award and the Hope Award, showing Phi Mu’s passionate commitment to the Children’s Miracle Network hospitals. Phi Mu has also started its own philanthropic event, DePHI the MUsic, where students can sing unlimited karaoke and eat unlimited wings for a few hours.
Phi Mu also prides itself on its involvement in Relay For Life, an American Cancer Society event that raises money for cancer research and raises awareness in the Bloomington community. Phi Mu is not only the largest organization to participate, but they are also a top fundraiser.
