Julianne Martin
Julianne Martin currently serves as the Coordinator of Women in Science and the Academy Programs for the Office for Women's Affairs (OWA). In this capacity, Julianne coordinates faculty mentoring programs, assists with the Women in Science Program advisory board, organizes the Women in Science Research Conference, and is involved with other tasks pertaining to opportunities for women in science. Additionally, Julianne serves as OWA's representative to the university's Commission on Multicultural Understanding (COMU). Julianne is a second year master's student in the Higher Educational and Student Affairs program in the School of Education. During the first year of her graduate program, Julianne worked as a graduate assistant for the Student Services Department at the School of Informatics and Computing and provided academic advising to students interested in the Computer Science and Informatics degree programs. Prior to enrolling in graduate school, Julianne worked for Residential Programs and Services at Indiana University and was responsible for hiring, training, and supervising nearly 200 student employees in a dining facility on campus. She also earned her bachelor's degree from Indiana University, where she studied both Latin and Classical Civilization. Through her position at the Office for Women's Affairs, Julianne looks forward to expanding her knowledge of the fields of higher education and student affairs. In her free time, Julianne enjoys spending time with friends and family, being outdoors, and exploring the city of Bloomington. |
