Welcome to the Multicultural Initiatives (OMI) homepage.
The mission of the OMI is to develop, encourage, and facilitate programming related to diversity issues, and support services for students, faculty and staff of diverse ethnicities. The units under OMI — the African American Arts Institute, the Asian Culture Center, the First Nations Educational and Cultural Center, the Latino Culture Center (LaCasa), and the Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center — possess unique individual identities
and missions but share the common goal of serving as a resource for creating and promoting a campus climate that emphasizes academic excellence, cultural awareness, and personal development. I invite you to take a virtual tour of our units, but more importantly, to pay them a visit and take advantage of the rich opportunities offered through a diverse array of program and other activities.
