Gloria Steinem, co-founder of Ms. magazine and a leading voice in feminist politics and thought through four decades, will be the keynote speaker at IU East’s women’s conference March 28.

The conference, Women: Mind, Body and Soul, also will feature Sandra Leek, director of the Indiana Civil Rights Commission, as opening speaker.

Steinem’s most recent writing is the foreword to Eleanor and Harry: The Correspondence of Eleanor Roosevelt and Harry S. Local professionals are scheduled to lead break-out sessions centered on women’s issues and needs.

The conference will be limited to 300 participants; cost is $99 per person and includes all conference materials and lunch. For more information or to reserve tickets, call 765-973-8203.
